Due to popularity we extended the cattery! The new pens are being hand crafted by father and son team Geoff and Steven at Stevedon Cattery in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Following South Holland District Council's inspection we are delighted to advise we now have 8 additional rooms available. That's 30 double rooms in total.
Norma Wright commented: "A great big thank you Geoff and Steven for all of your hard work over the past 4 years to make this happen. It's amazing .... just like you boys. Well done and keep up the great work!"
One Facebook well wisher commented: "Congratulations well deserved - a wonderful Cattery run by lovely people!"
The weather is getting warmer outside, so it'll soon be time to turn the heating off in the pen when your pet comes to stay for a holiday with us. We raised the cost by £1 a day, per pen for the duration of the stay. This helps towards the costs of the electricity bill. This will be switched of approximately beginning of June weather dependant!
Many thanks for understanding - Geoff, Norma & Steve.
Stevedon Cattery are now displaying a breath taking sculpture at the five star cattery premises in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Made using the royal Sandringham estates oak and carved in commemoration of the late Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
Owners Geoff Wright pictured with wife Norma commented: “We’ve been lucky enough to acquire a master piece from award winning sculptor Shane Green who has a worldwide reputation in the art world. This piece was commissioned by Living Heritage to celebrate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. You have to see it to believe its magnificence and it is a fitting tribute to our late Queen Elizabeth II.” Visit Shane's website here to check on his other masterpieces.
The oak was donated by the Queen’s then Sandringham estate. A right royal tribute as in 1966 after being on the throne for 14 years, one of the Queen’s highlights was presenting the World Cup seen carved here in the sculpture along side a football and pair of boots, the three lions shield and St George’s flag flying from a flag pole. The Jules Rimet trophy was handed to the late Bobby Moore OBE at Wembley, after England's 4-2 victory in the World Cup final against West Germany.
